Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a quiet, hands-on practice built on one idea: no matter what you have been through, an intrinsic health remains whole within you. Sessions are not about pushing, adjusting, or fixing. They are about creating enough safety and stillness that your system can set down what it has been holding.

My training in this work includes 700 hours of nervous system and subtle body study. Sessions are gentle, unhurried, and done fully clothed.

The heart of the work

Inherent Health.

Regardless of trauma, injury, or chronic illness, a self-correcting intelligence remains intact in every living system. BCST trusts it, and makes room for it.

The space between usA calm relational field

My role is not to force tissue to change. It is to offer a calm, non-intrusive relational field, a settled space where your system can loosen its conditioned strain patterns and ease out of defensive postures.

How I listenThe fields of perception

During a session I listen across several layers of the body at once, using a wide, receptive kind of attention called the perceptual field.

Structure

The Tissue Field

The dense, structural realm of bones, fascia, membranes, and muscular tension patterns.

RhythmsThe Breath of Life and the three tides

BCST views the body as animated by the Breath of Life, a primordial organizing force that shows up as subtle, rhythmic movements known as Primary Respiration. Practitioners describe three rhythms, felt through trained, light touch.

Cranial Rhythm Impulse: fastestMid-Tide: slowerLong Tide: slowest, deepestAn illustration of relative speed, not to scale.
Most superficial

Cranial Rhythm Impulse

Described as roughly 8 to 12 cycles per minute. It reflects immediate tissue compensations and local restrictions.

Slower

The Mid-Tide

About 1.5 to 3 cycles per minute. It shows how Potency, the active, organizing energy held within the fluids, is distributed and moving.

Deepest

The Long Tide

About 0.6 cycles per minute: a tide of stillness and deep order.

These rhythms are described within the BCST tradition and perceived through touch. They are not something a medical test measures.

Try this

Lie down and rest one hand on your belly and one on your chest. For one minute, do not change your breath. Just notice what moves on its own. That quiet noticing is a little taste of listening.

The journeyFrom strain to stillness

A shock the body could not process

When the body meets a physical or emotional shock it cannot fully process, it can encapsulate that unresolved energy.

A trauma fulcrum forms

This creates a fixed pivot point around which nearby tissues and fluids must continually warp and compensate. You can carry a pattern like this for years without knowing where it began.

Space and presence

In a settled relational field, with enough perceptual space and presence, your system can begin to let go of that effort.

The Neutral

A state of balanced quietude in which the body stops spending energy fighting its own internal forces. As those forces come into dynamic equilibrium around the fulcrum, your system's own Potency is freed.

Sometimes, an ignition

A spontaneous spark of vitality that reorganizes the fluid drive, restores fluid continuity, and lets inherent health express itself without obstruction. Often it is quieter than that: simply deeper rest.

In the roomWhat a session feels like

You lie fully clothed on the table while I rest my hands lightly in places such as the head, spine, sacrum, or feet. The room is quiet and there is nothing you need to do or say. People notice warmth, softening, waves of rest, emotions, old memories, or sometimes very little at all. All of it is welcome.

Sessions are offered in 60 or 90 minutes and are often chosen for stress, anxiety, headaches, nervous system overload, or a body that cannot fully rest.

Good to knowQuestions people ask

Do I need to talk or do anything?

No. You can talk if it helps, or rest in silence. Your only job is to be comfortable.

How is it different from massage?

Massage works with muscles through pressure. BCST uses very light, still touch to listen to the body's rhythms and give your system room to reorganize itself. Some people pair the two in a 90-minute Massage and Craniosacral session.

Can I combine it with Structural Integration?

Yes. Some clients alternate craniosacral sessions with Structural Integration, so the nervous system has room to settle while the structure changes.
